The Haas F1 Team is the American team that made its Formula 1 debut in 2016 and represents an interesting newcomer to the international motorsport scene. Founded by American billionaire Gene Haas, the team entered F1 with great ambitions. They brought an innovative mindset and aimed to make the leap into a highly competitive environment.

Foundation and Debut
Haas was founded by Gene Haas, an entrepreneur known for his expertise in auto racing (particularly NASCAR). His decision to enter Formula 1 was a sign of growing American interest in top-level European motor racing. In 2016, Haas founded its own F1 team with the goal of being immediately competitive, without having to go through the lengthy development and build-up phases typical of new teams.

A Team with a Unique Approach
Unlike many other teams, Haas has taken a pragmatic approach to reduce costs and accelerate its development. Instead of developing all components in-house, Haas has forged strong partnerships with established teams, particularly Ferrari, which supplies engines and some of the aerodynamics. This strategy allowed the team to focus on other aspects of the car and compete immediately with more experienced teams.

Partnership with Ferrari and Technical Evolution
By working with Ferrari, Haas was able to significantly reduce development costs, but it also brought with it some disadvantages, such as reduced technical independence. Despite this, the team has demonstrated its competitiveness with some good results in its early seasons.

The team faced numerous challenges, particularly during the transition years, but maintained a solid approach and focused on incremental improvements rather than seeking immediate results.
