In 2024, the Swiss team Sauber changed its official name to Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, marking the return of the Sauber name to Formula 1 after its era as Alfa Romeo from 2019 to 2023. This change was prompted by the end of the partnership with Alfa Romeo and the entry of the online betting brand Stake as title sponsor.

In 2024, the team fielded drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu. Despite their efforts, the season proved difficult: the team finished tenth in the Constructors' Championship, scoring only four points.

From 2026, Sauber will officially become Audi's works team, entering Formula 1 with its own engine. This transition is part of a long-term strategy to return Sauber to the top of Formula 1.

In 2025, the team announced a partnership with Aleph, a global technology company, to accelerate the team's digital transformation. In addition, Sunoco returned to Formula 1 as the team's fuel supplier after almost 50 years of absence.
