Red Bull Racing, now officially known as Oracle Red Bull Racing, is an Austrian Formula One racing team based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. It entered the world of Formula One in 2005 when the multinational energy drink manufacturer Red Bull purchased the Jaguar Racing team from Ford. The team was founded with the goal of combining youthful spirit, innovation, and excellence.
The team has experienced rapid growth in the F1 world. After initial years of growth, the big leap came between 2010 and 2013, when Red Bull Racing dominated the championship, winning four consecutive Drivers' and four Constructors' World Championships thanks to the talent of young German Sebastian Vettel and the ingenuity of designer Adrian Newey, who remains a key figure in the team today.
After this winning streak, Red Bull went through a less than brilliant period. This was due to the declining competitiveness of the Renault engine and the rule change that put the team at a disadvantage. Nevertheless, he consistently managed to be among the championship's protagonists. The turning point came in 2019 with the introduction of the Honda engine and the complete confidence in the talent of Max Verstappen, who quickly became the new face of the team.
Max Verstappen has led Red Bull Racing into a new era of dominance. The 2021 world championship title, won in a controversial but historic finale against Lewis Hamilton, marked the beginning of a new winning cycle. Verstappen then secured the titles for 2022, 2023, and 2024, helping the team consolidate its position at the top of the field. In 2025, Red Bull remains the team to beat.
At the helm of the team since day one has been Christian Horner, one of the longest-serving and most successful team principals in Formula 1.
